          Washingtonian Magazine Releases its 2019 'Top Doctors' Rankings

          Children's National Hospital physicians continue to earn accolades from their peers in a wide array of pediatric health care specialties, with 65 of our doctors - across 26 specialties - named to Washingtonian magazine's 2019 'Top Doctors' list.

          Children's National Celebrates Valentine's Day with Dr. Bear Bot

          Dr. Bear Bot, a new robot who lives in the cardiac intensive care unit (cardiac ICU) at Children’s National Health System, was the main attraction at a robot-reveal party in which the robot's name was announced after being voted on by our patients. Dr. Bear Bot completed a 90-day test period in the tele-cardiac ICU at Children’s National, which started in September, and the bot now works as a virtual liaison to connect patients, attending nurses and physicians with Ricardo Munoz, M.D., executive director of the Telemedicine  (Virtual Care) Program and the division chief of critical cardiac care, and Alejandro Lopez-Magallon, M.D., a cardiologist and the associate medical director of the telemedicine program. 

          Northern Virginia Magazine Releases its 2019 "Top Doctors" Rankings

          The annual "Top Doctors" list from Northern Virginia Magazine features 59 Children’s National Health System care providers across 23 specialties. Nominations for Northern Virginia Magazine’s list of "Top Doctors" are generated by a peer survey and panels from eight local hospitals.

          Children’s National hosts and participates in many continuing education events throughout the year for health care providers, including Grand Rounds, Virtual Lunch and Learns, conferences and symposiums.
